Firth Rixson to Supply Ring Forgings for the GEnx Engine

EAST HARTFORD, Conn., October 13, 2006 — Firth Rixson today announced that it has signed a long-term agreement with GE Aviation to supply seamless- ring forgings for the GEnx engine. Under the terms of the agreement, Firth Rixson will provide rings for a 5-year period beginning in 2009. The agreement is expected to generate sales of more than $200 million.

Firth Rixson produces seamless-rolled rings for aerospace applications at four facilities in the U.S., one in the UK, and at a new facility in China.
