Firth Rixson Limited and Techspace Aero Expand and Extend Multi Year Agreement
Sheffield, UK and East Hartford, CT, USA – Wednesday, 12 November 2008 – Firth Rixson Limited, a major provider of highly engineered forged and specialty metal products, and Techspace Aero (part of SAFRAN Group), a major designer and producer of aero and space engine equipment and modules, have reached agreement to extend and expand upon the multi-year purchasing agreement signed by the Companies in 2006. Commencing in January 2009, Firth Rixson will increase its supply of seamless rolled ring forgings to Techspace Aero through December 2012, including rings for the GEnx engine.The ring products will be supplied from each of Firth Rixson’s four US based facilities in Cucamonga, CA, Fontana, CA, Verdi, NV, and Rochester, NY. The agreement will have an annual value of more than $25 M.
